Back to blinging...

Well i went off for a while... I am sorry about that... What is going on in the Premier league... I'm confused... Not only are manchester united not playing good football... Despite this we are just one point of the leaders as we go into the new year... And well toffees have not had the same luck though with most of their star players still injured and/or have delayed their return... meaning moyes had to field a team with 8 first team players injured for most of the first half of the season. Which clearly reflects on their position in the board now... However the last couple of weeks saw the return of pienaar and yakubu and that billy sure can hit the ball hard...Now for the january signings till now... Donovan signed a temporary loan deal for three months...And Moyes has promised he'd get at least two more loan signings this month... :) And as for Red Devils SAF has said he is going to sign big names. Its sad considering their performance lately but then we are talking about Manchester United and how many times have they proved the doubters wrong... In any case this year is going reallly good for the supporters coz there is gonna be stiff competition for both teams.

The Final day of the Transfer Window

A lot of things have happened this season for both the toffees and the red devils. The toffees have lost their priced defender in Lescott, which is good piece of business for them except for the time at which it happened, the toffees have lost lot of transfer time and the targets are minimum although their evaluation of the player made him the third most costliest defender, they are only unable to replace him with a younger player who fit the bill, however have to settle for Distin who is on the wrong side of 30. However having cost only 5m pounds moyes has made good business in getting 24m on him of which 2m is due to his former club Wolves that leaves with quite a good amount in the kitty. Moyes wasting no time spent 5.3m to bring distin here and splashed 10m on the Russian Bilyaletdinov (No its not a tongue-twister, and he prefers 'billy'). This signing however excites me because of his creativity and technique, it all depends on how well he settles down at the goodison park, mind you it was moyes way back in 2006 when he bid for an unknown figure Arshavein only for the club to turn it down due to the bid falling short their evaluation of the player. Few years from then he is a football genius and fans claim he is the second best signing of Arsene after Henry. However moyes claims to be close to couple of more deals and has no intention of throwing away the check book yet....

On the contrary the red devils have lost 'one' of their star players in Ronaldo and honestly i dont think tevez's five league goals is going to be hard to replace. However Ronaldo's departure came in late june giving ample time to spend the ridiculous word record transfer fee of 80m, but so far Sir Alex had restrained himself to buy Antonio Valencia for 17m( I reckon it's a good buy judging by what i've seen till now), Gabriel Obertan for 3m and Micheal Owen on a free(wow). However, Fergie has seen his targets fall through purely because of their ridiculous fee. Fergie has now claimed to have put away his cheque-book, however in his case he does have a strong enough squad with a lot of potential so you cant really fault him for his decision. I am excited about this season for the big four's spot look more vulnerable than ever with all of them having either lost a key player or have an aging squad.

The Toffee Rain ( Reign)

The toffees have had a wonderful season so far with a mathematical possibility of a fifth place in the league, a possible FA cup and a assured place in the Europa league... The toffees have done very good considering the limted resources and the injuries to their key players. With the record signing Yakubu out for the season due to the Achilles injury and the ex-manchester united forward saha as the only experienced forward, David moyes turned to the young anichebe, and took a big step in bringing in Jo on loan from the blues. Jo turned out to be quite a bargain with his consistent performance in front of the goal. The toffees seemed to be in contention for a champions league spot but when Mikel Arteta was also sidelined for the season owing to an knee injury, and anichebe injured everton found refuge in the technical expertice of Tim Cahill, and the youngsters of the goodison park the Everton product Jack Rodwell is already tipped to be wooed away by the Red Devils and Dan Gosling seemingly to be on fire, Yet the best came out of Leigton Baines who has become a regular for the team and for good reason.... The record signing Fellaini has been in the newspapers for more than just his hair as well...... The future looks good for the toffees, next year with their perfect blend of youth and experience even the much acclaimed arsenal couldn't achieve......
