Its a grand old team to play for........ Everton ......

The FA cup final saw chelsea crowned champions but the toffees surely deserve credit for their achievement this season under David Moyes (Who should probably be nickname Moses of EVERTON with what he has done with the club).Anyway the match was more open than what most critics wrote it off as.. Louis Saha giving everton the lead through the fastest ever FA cup goal which was a blinder even cech couldn't read... The toffees without their inspirational Midfielder Arteta and the prolific defender Jagielka. They also did miss the Technical forward Yakubu who would have been a good second striker to Saha and of course considering the fact that chelsea did field their best side and had a very fit squad i believe that everton deserved the win but for their teams fitness levels.... Well this final is presumable cry out for better sponsers and a bigger budget for the toffees who have every right to be one of the Fab Four...........

The catalan domination...

The wednesday(27/06/09) Champions league final saw new champions being crowned and history made as Barcelona FC became the first spanish team to win the spanish cup, spanish league and the champions league the same year. Pep Gaurdiola saw many records broken on the night as the young catalan manager became a part of the elite set who have won it both as a player and a manager, he had lifted the trophy three years ago in their uniform now in the suit. Making him the youngest manager at 38yrs to win it. Quite an achievement for the club which was deprived of any trophy in the last two years.Messi saw his bid for the Ballon d'or take a much tighter grasp with a sublime performance and the only rivals(seeming) this season being his own team mates Iniesta and Xavi who have been instrumental in this campaign, Cristiano Ronaldo failing to live up to his accolades of last year. Seemingly the invinsible side of Sir Alex failed to complete the dream season. Being a Manchester United Fan I was sad to see the big guns not firing at the right time which clearly states that the performance of any team depends on the day's luck and mood. This puts a big "?" in the future of carlos tevez and ronaldo at Man U but i trust that Sir Alex knows better than anyone the true meaning of a player having a not so good season. But i predict that he might bring in some big guns the forthcoming season to put a bit of stability in the midfield or who knows even Owen might be their magic man next season like Arshavein was for Arsenal this season..... Or who knows they might just sign in a santiago munez :P ....

The highlights of the Latics match......... 13/05/09

Rodagella....28'

Tevez....61'

Carrick...86'

And the reds go marching on...........

The Devils registered a win in the hard fought match against wigan which saw the latics taking a shocking lead with rodallega continuing his remarkable form as Bruce chose to sit out his priced signings Mido and Zaki.Steve Bruce himself an ex-Man Utd player faced his then manager in the managerial encounter with Sir Alex and was over the moon with the nights proceedings. However, Carrick showed that ronaldo is not the only match winner their team can boast of... The ex-hammer having set the first goal for tevez and scoring the winner himself.... The reds with the win are just a point away from the title with two matches to go, a home against the gunners and an away at hull........

The Toffee Rain ( Reign)

The toffees have had a wonderful season so far with a mathematical possibility of a fifth place in the league, a possible FA cup and a assured place in the Europa league... The toffees have done very good considering the limted resources and the injuries to their key players. With the record signing Yakubu out for the season due to the Achilles injury and the ex-manchester united forward saha as the only experienced forward, David moyes turned to the young anichebe, and took a big step in bringing in Jo on loan from the blues. Jo turned out to be quite a bargain with his consistent performance in front of the goal. The toffees seemed to be in contention for a champions league spot but when Mikel Arteta was also sidelined for the season owing to an knee injury, and anichebe injured everton found refuge in the technical expertice of Tim Cahill, and the youngsters of the goodison park the Everton product Jack Rodwell is already tipped to be wooed away by the Red Devils and Dan Gosling seemingly to be on fire, Yet the best came out of Leigton Baines who has become a regular for the team and for good reason.... The record signing Fellaini has been in the newspapers for more than just his hair as well...... The future looks good for the toffees, next year with their perfect blend of youth and experience even the much acclaimed arsenal couldn't achieve......

Thats all for today.... I'll be back with much more soon!!!!!

The Final Call

The season 08/09 of the barclays draws to an end with no more than two more games to go . Manchester United have been amazing throughout their campaign and are still in contention for the champions league... The league leaders have have had their share of ups and downs... The biggest upset being their loss to the toffees in the FA cup semis. But its no doubt the best year for the red devils whose manager has acheived in his long stay at Old trafford what many fail to with "literally unlimited resourses at hand". Sir Alex Ferguson managing the red devils for the 23rd year has seen many generations of the busby boys including the un-destructible team of the 90's, even he claimed this paticular team as the best he had in his career.... The games seem to favour Man Utd with the requirement of 4 points from 3 games to clinch their third title in a row,the reds face the struggling latics (Wigan), the in youthful gunners and the relegation threatened tigers......
